Radi Ghati on way to Uttarkashi

Coordinates:
We had stayed at Barkot rest house after completing our trip to Yamunotri, one of the Chardhams of Uttarakhand. In morning we started for Gangotri, a drive thru scenic pine forests brought us after an hours drive to Radi Ghati which is a sort of big hair pin bend on the hill road. There is a temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman and a tea shop. The place is also very important for me personally as I had once taken shelter in this tea shop, when a furious storm had hit me on a earlier trip. This place is part of Garhwal Himalayas and offers breath taking views of the valleys and snow clad peaks. For Rs. 17, we had the best ginger spiced hot tea with a pack of krackjack biscuits. Trust me the aroma of the tea and simple hospitality of the shop owner is just priceless.

Approximately 450kms from Delhi. Suggested route: Delhi - Ambala - Vikasnagar - Barkot - Radi Ghati. (At places the drive is one of the toughest in Himalayas)
