For Delhi wallas this is much near to your home than you can think of. The beautiful bird sanctuary at Sultanpur, Haryana is host to many migratory birds. Local birds can also be seen here like this Bulbul perched on a keekar tree. I used to frequent this place when I was doing a farmhouse at Farukhnagar some 6kms ahead from the sanctuary. The day I ventured inside the sanctuary, it became a regular stop for me. There is a restaurant and a good collection for identifying the birds. The watch tower inside the sanctuary provides breath taking views of birds at the lake. Best season is October to March.
