If you are in Dehradun, you will find many Sal forests which have been conserved. One you will find at Doonga about 20km drive from Dehradun clock tower. You can trek, pickup pebbles from streams or splash into cool waters when streams are flowing in monsoon. And be careful - it is possible that a leopard is keeping a watch on you hiding in the bushes.
Route : Delho to Dehradun by car or train. Drive through Suddowala chowk to climb up to Doonga.
