We have taken till now only one pre planned package tour which was in 2003 for Nepal & Bhutan. Otherwise our trips just happen at a snap of a finger. Well Holiday Nepal offered us a 5 days trip for a couple just for Rs.17,000/- which included all expenses for a 4 star hotels, fare and food. On the top of it we were given coupons for 6000/- Nepali rupees and luckily we won 18000/- rupees and our trip was sort of free.

At Patan the old capital of the Nepal King could be seen in its out of heavens architectural style. The temples seem to have an influence of chinese roofs, buddhist ornamntation and indian deities. The woodwork of windows and chowkhats is very ornate and typical of Nepalese architecture. It also reminds you the Devanand's song 'Kanchi re kanchi re..' which was filmed here.

Take a flight from Delhi for Kathmandu. I suggest a package tour through Druk Airways, the bhutan's airline. The small fokker planes fly at low height and give you an excellent view of Everest and Kanchenjunga. You can also take an everest flight trip from Kathmandu airport.
