Coordinates : 8° 16' 32.01" S 115° 9' 59.07" E

Bali is famous for its temples done in a traditional multi level thatch roof (Meru) style. These pagodas of the far east are proof of hinduism penetration to far flung areas in ancient times. Dedicated to Goddess Danau, these temples are made on island and surrounded by water in Beratan lake. With its misty mountain backdrop the temple seems to be located in heaven. If you are lucky you can find the locals offering ornate baskets full of fruits and arranged in colourful manner to the deity.
